Lower Choptank River Access

The Choptank River is nearly six miles wide near its mouth (Nelson Pt. to Cooks Pt.) and covers nearly 50 square miles between Tilghman and Secretary.

There are 14 public landings on the Lower Choptank in both Talbot and Dorchester Counties.  Facilities at these landings vary from the full range of services at the Cambridge Yacht Basin to the soft landing (no ramp) at Blackwalnut Cove on Tilghman’s Island.  Use the RiverGuide’s Public Landings Comparison Chart to find the access that meets your needs.

Click on any of the public landings on the map for directions, photos, locator maps, and details about nearby historic sites.
