Public landings along the Middle Choptank provide access to the least travelled sections of the river. The Middle Choptank provides some of the best recreational opportunities for small craft.  The river is more narrow than the Lower Choptank near its mouth. Its banks are accented with many small tidal guts.  Kings Creek Preserve and the Choptank Wetlands Preserve are both within a short paddle of Kingston Landing.
