Stoney Point

Tuckahoe River Public Landing

Stoney Point is the only Caroline County (east bank) public access landing between Hillsboro and the mouth of the Tuckahoe. Although not an improved landing with ramp, Stoney Point is an excellent soft landing for paddle craft and for exploring the upper todal reaches of the Tuckahoe. Watch out for mud shoals along the east bank that will entrap even shallow draft canoes and kayaks at low tide.
