Visiting Martinak State Park

Martinak State Park is located off MD Route 404 on Deep Shore Road, one mile south of Denton.

The park is a monument to George Martinak, a retired government printer who donated the land to the Maryland Department of Forests and Parks in 1961. The park was opened in July, 1964, and now consists of 107 acres of uplands woods and waterfront on the Choptank River and Watts Creek..

The park’s boat ramp and day use areas are open year round, from 8 a.m. until sunset. The campground and cabins are closed during the late fall and winter.  Hours during these seasons will vary. It is best to contact the park at the address or phone number below to verify campground hours.

The park has over 3 miles of trails, including a fitness trail and a nature trail.
